LongPoint and Humilis Launch North American Tactical Equity ETF on TSX
LongPoint Asset Management and Humilis launched the Humilis North American Tactical Equity Fund on TSX, offering concentrated, research-driven equity portfolios targeting large-cap U.S. and select Canadian stocks. The partnership taps Brian Belski’s 35-year track record and LongPoint’s platform, enabling operational support and strategic growth for the new ETF.
1. Launch of Humilis North American Tactical Equity Fund
LongPoint Asset Management and Humilis Investment Strategies launched the Humilis North American Tactical Equity Fund (HBTA) on the Toronto Stock Exchange, marking the debut of three Humilis-branded ETFs including Dividend Growth and Fundamental Opportunities products. Trading begins tomorrow at market open, providing Canadian investors with access to a research-driven, concentrated equity portfolio.
2. Defined Investment Strategy
The Tactical Equity Fund employs a combined top-down discipline and bottom-up fundamental research process to identify large-cap U.S. companies alongside select Canadian names that offer superior risk/reward profiles. The index-free structure emphasizes core long-term equity holdings of high-quality, brand-name companies.
3. Partnership and Platform Benefits
Under the partnership model, LongPoint handles all operational, administrative and capital markets functions, allowing Humilis to focus on portfolio strategy, sales and ETF growth. This flexible platform contrasts traditional sub-advisory relationships by centralizing support and leveraging LongPoint’s industry connections.
4. Distribution and Series Availability
HBTA will be available to advisors through Series A and Series F share classes in the coming weeks, expanding access beyond the TSX listing. Detailed management fees and prospectus information are available on LongPoint’s website for prospective investors.
