Lucid Lands $750M in Uber and PIF Funding, Adds 35,000 Vehicle Order

Lucid Group secured $200 million investment from Uber, raising its total Uber-backed funding to $500 million, and clinched $550 million from the Public Investment Fund. Uber also boosted its purchase commitment to over 35,000 vehicles as Lucid plans Bay Area AV service launches in 2H 2026.

1. Funding Round Details

Lucid has secured $200 million from Uber and $550 million from the Public Investment Fund, boosting its capital base by $750 million to support development of its robotaxi and electric vehicle operations.

2. Uber Stake and Vehicle Commitment

Uber’s additional $200 million investment brings its total funding in Lucid to $500 million, while raising its commitment to purchase more than 35,000 Lucid vehicles over the coming years.

3. Autonomous Service Launch Plans

Lucid test vehicles have already been delivered, and the company aims to launch autonomous ride-hailing services in the Bay Area in the second half of 2026, with a full commercial rollout planned later that year.
