Magnum Ice Cream Allocates €10m to Hungary for Bite-Sized Bonbons Production
MICC•Magnum Ice Cream invests Ft4bn (c.€10m) in a new bite-sized Magnum Bonbons production line at its Veszprém, Hungary site, adding capacity to serve Hungary and other European markets. The 500-employee facility contributes to Magnum’s plan for up to €530m in gross savings through supply-chain, overhead and tech-enabled productivity improvements.
1. Hungary Site Investment
Magnum Ice Cream has invested Ft4bn (€10m) to install a new production line at its Veszprém, Hungary facility to produce bite-sized Magnum Bonbons and address growing demand for smaller formats.
2. Expanded Production Capacity
The Veszprém site employs over 500 staff and supplies customers in Hungary and other European markets, enhancing the company’s footprint in shareable indulgence segments.
3. Gross Savings Programme
Magnum is pursuing up to €530m in gross savings across supply-chain efficiencies (€380m), overhead reductions (€70-100m) and tech-enabled productivity (€30-50m), having secured around €150m during 2024 and the first half of 2025.
