Marex says Middle East equities become more institutional as foreign capital increases

Dubai’s main share index fell more than 18% during the conflict period, cutting market value to AED 843.25 billion, per Reuters figures cited.
Dubai market capitalization later topped AED 1 trillion, implying a rebound of more than AED 150 billion from the sell-off low.
ADx reported 2025 trading value above AED 385 billion, with institutions at 78% of value; DFM reported institutions at 71% of activity.
Marex sees Middle East equities becoming more institutional
Marex analysis flagged Middle East equities as more institutional, with rising foreign capital and stronger market infrastructure across the GCC.
It warned investors against treating the region as a single trade, citing diverging liquidity, investor bases, and market structures in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
