Marvell formed an Open Compute Project security working group with Microsoft and Oracle to standardize an integrated hardware security module for data center servers. The effort targets a NIST FIPS 140-3 Level 3 design with silicon-based attestation, aiming to keep keys inside a certified hardware boundary.
The group plans to release an open technical specification draft at the OCP Global Summit in October 2026. The standard aims to move key caching and lifecycle management closer to server workloads to cut latency, improve scalability and strengthen cloud security.
