MDA Space management commentary: Higher work volumes drive Q3 2026 adjusted EBITDA growth of 15.9%
MDA•MDA Space reported Q3 2026 revenue of CAD 498.1 million, up 21.5%, and adjusted EBITDA of CAD 96 million, up 15.9%. Net income rose 14.4% to CAD 30.9 million, while adjusted EBITDA margin declined to 19.3% from 20.2%.
1. Revenue and earnings rise
MDA Space attributed its 21.5% revenue increase to CAD 498.1 million to higher satellite systems and geointelligence volumes. Satellite systems revenue rose 26.4% to CAD 358.3 million, primarily on increased work on the Telesat Lightspeed program.
2. Margins decline
Adjusted EBITDA increased 15.9% to CAD 96 million as higher work volumes supported backlog conversion. Adjusted EBITDA margin fell to 19.3% from 20.2%, reflecting a change in program mix and higher selling, general and administrative spending. Net income rose 14.4% to CAD 30.9 million, driven by higher gross profit and lower taxes, partly offset by increased operating expenses.
