Medline Expands Prime Vendor Model to Southern Ontario Hospitals with Mohawk Medbuy
MDLN•Medline Canada signed its first Prime Vendor deal outside the U.S. with Mohawk Medbuy for logistics support of Southwestern Ontario hospitals this fall. It will deploy a stockless distribution model with daily deliveries from its Guelph facility and supply chain services boosting resiliency, cutting costs and expanding recurring revenue.

Medline Canada has executed its first Prime Vendor agreement outside the United States by partnering with Mohawk Medbuy to serve hospitals in Southwestern Ontario under a long-term consolidated distribution and logistics contract beginning this fall.
2. Distribution Model
Under the agreement, Medline will implement a stockless distribution approach, delivering low-unit product quantities daily from its Guelph, Ontario warehouse to ensure timely availability and reduce onsite inventory burdens.
3. Supply Chain Services and Benefits
Medline’s Supply Chain Solutions division will offer delivery and storage optimization, automatic product substitutions, backorder management and data analytics, aiming to enhance supply chain resiliency, improve service reliability, lower delivery costs and drive recurring revenue growth.
