Melco Reports 71.7M kWh Savings and 65% Electric Fleet in 2025
Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s 2025 report records annual energy savings of 71.7 million kWh, 290,000 m³ water savings, 10,000 MWh solar output, 65% electric fleet and 18% waste diversion. The company secured external verification for Scope 1–3 emissions, integrated TCFD into IFRS S2 and lifted its S&P CSA score by nine points.
1. Strategic ESG Framework
Melco’s “RISE to Go Above & Beyond” strategy, launched in 2019, has been embedded into daily operations through the Board-level Environmental Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, double materiality assessments and the integration of TCFD disclosures into the IFRS S2 framework, with all Scope 1–3 environmental data now externally verified.
2. Environmental Efficiency Achievements
The company achieved annualized energy savings of 71.7 million kWh, water savings of 290,000 m³, solar generation of nearly 10,000 MWh, a 65% electric and hybrid vehicle fleet supported by 154 charging stations, and increased its recycling and composting waste diversion rate to 18%.
3. Community Engagement and Supply Chain Sustainability
Over 4,100 colleagues participated in 486 volunteering activities, Melco contributed US$19.17 million to community and heritage initiatives, maintained 100% OEKO-TEX® certified linens, procured 80% Green-rated chemicals, sourced 16% sustainable seafood and achieved 97% cage-free egg procurement.
4. Ratings and Recognitions
Melco boosted its S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment score to 66/100 (96th percentile), earned B and A- scores in CDP climate and water assessments, secured BREEAM “Excellent” ratings for two developments and collected multiple Green Key and Green Hotel Awards.
