PrairiesCan support for Peace River mill modernization

Mercer Peace River Pulp secured CAD 20 million in Canadian government support under the Regional Tariff Response Initiative.

The package includes a CAD 1 million non-repayable contribution, plus a CAD 19 million repayable contribution with repayments starting in 2031.

Funding targets mill modernization, productivity gains, bio-energy expansion readiness, and carbon capture and storage work at the Peace River mill.
