Mercer Q2 FY26 net loss narrows to $75.98 million; revenue rises to $460.28 million

Mercer International posted a Q2 2026 net loss of $75.98 million, narrowing from a loss of $86.07 million a year earlier.
Revenue edged up to $460.28 million, while operating loss widened to $58.97 million from $58.4 million in Q2 2025.
Non-GAAP operating EBITDA was a loss of $20.99 million versus a loss of $20.88 million a year earlier, including a $29 million non-cash inventory impairment.
Liquidity position
Liquidity totaled about $191.7 million at June 30, including $78.78 million in cash and cash equivalents and about $112.9 million available under revolving credit facilities.
Restructuring and strategic review
Mercer began restructuring at its Torgau facility, targeting about 350 job cuts through Q2 2027, while evaluating strategic alternatives with 2028 and senior notes holders.
