1. Study Scope and Design
The meta-analysis pooled individual-patient data from 14 studies encompassing 8,478 localized prostate cancer cases, with detailed combined clinical risk (CCR) scores available for 7,924 participants. Gene-expression results from Prolaris Biopsy Tests were integrated with clinical parameters to evaluate prognostic performance.
2. Prognostic Value Across Risk Categories
Results showed the CCR score was significantly prognostic for distant metastasis and prostate cancer-specific mortality across all NCCN risk groups and management strategies. Prolaris added independent predictive power beyond conventional Gleason and CAPRA scores, enhancing risk discrimination.

By providing granular risk stratification, Prolaris may guide decisions on active surveillance versus treatment escalation, supporting personalized management discussions.
