Meta reportedly eyes at least $20 billion from potential bond offerings
META•Meta is eyeing at least $20 billion from a potential cross-border bond offering, with no final decision made and the size potentially growing depending on investor demand. The reported dollar and euro bonds would span maturities of five to 30 years and around four to just over 38 years, respectively.
1. Potential bond sale
Meta is considering raising at least $20 billion through a cross-border bond offering, a report said. No final decision has been made, and the offering could grow depending on investor demand. Meta has asked Citigroup and Morgan Stanley to hold investor calls on Monday and Tuesday.
2. Recent fundraising plans
The potential bond sale follows Meta’s plans for around $97.5 billion in equity offerings. Last week, the company priced a $25 billion common-stock offering and a $12.5 billion offering of mandatory convertible preferred shares, and said it plans to raise up to $60 billion through an at-the-market share-sale program.
3. Bond maturities
The potential dollar offering would span maturities of five to 30 years, while the euro offering would range from around four years to just over 38 years.
