Microchip Unveils TA101 TrustFLEX IC and TrustMANAGER Key Service for EU Cyber Resilience Act Compliance
Microchip added the TA101 TrustFLEX secure authentication IC and TA101 TrustMANAGER keySTREAM service to its Trust Platform for EU Cyber Resilience Act and IEC 62443 compliance. It enables factory or in-field key provisioning, scalable FOTA and PKI-based authentication for industrial and automotive systems under ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE WP.29.
1. Trust Platform Expansion
Microchip has expanded its Trust Platform by integrating the TA101 TrustFLEX secure authentication IC with the TA101 TrustMANAGER keySTREAM cloud service. This combined solution addresses tightening cybersecurity regulations by offering both factory-configured hardware roots of trust and scalable cloud-based cryptographic key management.
2. TA101 TrustFLEX Features
The TA101 TrustFLEX IC arrives preconfigured for common security use cases, eliminating manual cryptographic setup and reducing development time and documentation burdens. Secure provisioning occurs in certified factories following Common Criteria practices, and in-field provisioning options enable rapid hardware-based authentication across diverse product lines.
3. TA101 TrustMANAGER Capabilities
TrustMANAGER integrates with the Kudelski keySTREAM SaaS platform to provide remote key lifecycle management, code signing, revocation and firmware-over-the-air updates. Designed for software-defined vehicle architectures, it ensures only authenticated software and commands reach ECUs, supporting ISO/SAE 21434 and UNECE WP.29 automotive cybersecurity requirements.
4. Compliance and Availability
The Trust Platform supports IEC 62443 and EU Cyber Resilience Act compliance through PKI-based authentication, centralized security and authenticated firmware updates. TA101 TrustFLEX and TrustMANAGER are available via an early adopter program, with development tools compatible with MPLAB X IDE, CryptoAuth PRO hardware and the Trust Platform Design Suite.
