The Mount Pleasant campus represents the first phase of a $7.3 billion investment in multiple data centers, with a second facility scheduled for completion in 2028. Currently staffed by 375 workers, the site will expand to roughly 800 employees once the next center comes online.

Assessed at $1.224 billion, the data center contributes about $19.75 million in annual property taxes, making Microsoft the largest taxpayer in Racine County. The company has approval to build up to 15 more data centers over the next decade, all constructed with union labor and supported by local infrastructure financing.
