Mistral secures BMW and Airbus AI partnerships after ASML investment
ASML•French AI firm Mistral announced five-year partnerships with BMW for car-crash tests and Airbus for defence, space and helicopter digital simulations. ASML, which invested in Mistral last year, remains closely tied as Mistral builds 44-megawatt computing infrastructure and secures a 10-megawatt deal with Digital Realty.
1. Mistral Announces Strategic Partnerships
Mistral formalized a five-year collaboration with Airbus to integrate AI into defence, space activities and helicopter manufacturing, including cockpit safety and digital simulation. It also partnered with BMW to apply AI to car-crash tests, leveraging its recent acquisition of Emmi AI’s digital simulation technology.
2. ASML’s Strategic Investment and Infrastructure Growth
ASML invested in Mistral last year, underpinning its expansion into industrial and defence sectors. Mistral operates a 44-megawatt data centre outside Paris, is building another in Sweden and secured a 10-megawatt computing power deal with Digital Realty to bolster its European AI infrastructure.
