Project combines solar and long-duration storage for PJM grid
MN8 Energy partnered with Eos Energy Enterprises and Google on a dispatchable clean-power portfolio for the PJM grid.
The project combines 86 MW of solar with 10 MW/100 MWh of Eos Z3 long-duration storage.
Google will buy the project’s energy, capacity, and clean-energy attributes to support regional data center demand, including a planned West Virginia site.
Solar is slated for commercial operation in 2028; lithium-ion storage in 2029; and Eos long-duration storage in 2030.
MN8 estimates up to $350 million in capital investment, about $4 million in property tax revenue over 20 years, and about 200 construction jobs.
