Mobileye secures deal for over 9 million EyeQ6H-powered Surround ADAS units

Mobileye said a top-10 US automaker will install over 9 million EyeQ6H-powered Surround ADAS systems, raising total forecasts to more than 19 million units across this and Volkswagen Group programs. Surround ADAS will be standard on mainstream and premium models, enabling hands-free eyes-on highway driving in software-defined vehicles.

1. Major U.S. Automaker Selects EyeQ6H-Powered Surround ADAS

Mobileye announced that a top-10 U.S. automaker has chosen its next-generation EyeQ6H chip and Surround ADAS driver-assistance system for installation as standard equipment across millions of future vehicles. Under the agreement, the automaker will deploy Surround ADAS on both mainstream and premium models built on software-defined architectures, representing an order book of approximately 9 million units. This marks Mobileye’s second marquee OEM win in six months, following a March 2025 commitment from Volkswagen Group for 10 million systems, and brings the company’s total expected EyeQ6H shipments to over 19 million units globally.

2. Production and Revenue Outlook Strengthened

With the addition of this new customer, Mobileye projects a meaningful lift in its 2026 production outlook. Management has indicated that the EyeQ6H manufacturing run rate will ramp from mid-single-digit millions of units in 2025 to over 15 million units annually by 2027. The company expects to achieve positive operating leverage as fixed R&D and chip fabrication costs are amortized across a larger volume, supporting adjusted EBITDA margins in the high-20% range by 2027. Analysts estimate that the new contract could contribute incremental revenue of approximately $700 million to $800 million over the next three years.

3. Competitive Edge and Regulatory Tailwinds

Mobileye’s vertically integrated approach—combining AI-driven vision software, sensor fusion and REM™ crowdsourced mapping on a single EyeQ6H processor—enables hands-free, “eyes-on” highway driving up to 81 mph (130 kph) and advanced safety functions such as automated lane changes, cut-in protection and enhanced pedestrian detection. With regulators in Europe and North America tightening performance standards for ADAS, and consumer demand for semi-autonomous features rising, Mobileye expects Surround ADAS to become standard across many new vehicle launches. The company’s robust over-the-air update capability and cybersecurity framework further strengthen its position as OEMs prioritize long-term feature scalability and regulatory compliance.
