Moderna has realigned its executive structure by expanding President Dr. Stephen Hoge’s role to include oversight of the company’s infectious disease, Intismeran and rare disease franchises. Ester Banque joins as Chief Commercial Officer to lead global commercial operations and support multiple upcoming product launches.
The company plans three launches in 2027 and 2028—a combined flu-COVID vaccine, a seasonal influenza vaccine and a norovirus vaccine. Moderna also anticipates key clinical readouts this year for its Intismeran individualized neoantigen therapy and its propionic acidemia program, paving the way for oncology and rare disease entries.
Dr. Hoge has spearheaded Moderna’s strategic and operational alignment since 2019, while Ester Banque brings commercial leadership gained at Zoetis, Bristol Myers Squibb and Novartis, where she led major product launches and scaled global operations.
