Verizon Eliminates Activation Fees, Unveils 'Simplicity' Plan and 3% Back Loyalty Program

Verizon will eliminate activation and upgrade fees starting in July and introduce its 'Simplicity' plan, which combines wireless and home broadband services on a single monthly bill inclusive of taxes. The plan removes network tier distinctions to streamline choices for postpaid customers.
2. Loyalty Program Benefits
The new loyalty program gives postpaid customers 3% back on monthly bills, redeemable toward device purchases or at retail partners such as Sephora, Hilton, Marriott and Starbucks. Additional perks include complimentary items like Starbucks coffee, Dunkin' Donuts treats and FIFA World Cup merchandise.
3. Strategic and Financial Outlook
Under CEO Dan Schulman, Verizon projects these initiatives to be accretive to revenue without altering its 2026 financial guidance. The move aims to boost retention in a competitive market against AT&T and T-Mobile bundles while leveraging device subsidies and discounted services.
