Mondelez Achieves 100% CLMRS and SMETA Audit Coverage, Audits 1,200 Suppliers
MDLZ•Mondelez International’s 2025 report shows ~100% child labor monitoring and remediation coverage across 2,300 Cocoa Life communities in West Africa and ~100% SMETA audit coverage at its owned manufacturing sites. It audited more than 1,200 tier-1 suppliers in 2025 and trained 50,000 colleagues on human rights issues.
1. Comprehensive Audit Coverage
Mondelez achieved ~100% Child Labor Monitoring and Remediation Systems coverage across 2,300 West Africa Cocoa Life communities and ~100% SMETA audit coverage at all owned manufacturing plants over the past three years, with ~99% of prioritized tier-1 suppliers audited at least once during this period.
2. Expanded Supplier Due Diligence
In 2025, the company audited over 1,200 prioritized tier-1 supplier sites and engaged around 100 strategic suppliers in joint industry trainings across Brazil, India, Mexico and the US, boosting implementation of human rights due diligence leading practices.
3. Workforce Training and Sustainability Initiatives
Since launching its dedicated Human Rights Policy in 2021, Mondelez has trained 50,000 colleagues—7,000 in manufacturing and logistics and 3,000 in stewardship roles—while its Cocoa Life program partners with local organizations to enhance child protection, women’s empowerment and sustainable farming practices.
