The new composable platform integrates tools like Algolia search and Stripe payments to accelerate time-to-market, strengthen security and reduce operational complexity.

Commerce announced that Mountain Warehouse has launched a new composable storefront built on BigCommerce, replacing a decade-old custom system. The implementation covers more than 400 global stores and serves over five million annual customers across key markets.

2. Technical Benefits

The headless architecture delivers improved scalability and flexibility, reducing reliance on legacy infrastructure and cutting operational complexity. Teams can now deploy new features faster and enhance platform security and compliance.

3. Integration Stack

The composable stack integrates BigCommerce’s Catalyst frontend on Vercel, Contentful for content management, Algolia for search and personalization, and payment options including Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Custom middleware manages inventory, pricing, customer data and shipping workflows.

4. Operational Impact

Advanced capabilities include multi-location inventory management, click-and-collect, split shipments, bundled products and digital gift cards. These enhancements position Mountain Warehouse to iterate on customer experiences and scale global operations more efficiently.
