MSGS•Madison Square Garden Sports expects to separate its New York Rangers business from its New York Knicks business on Oct. 26, 2026, creating separately listed MSG Rangers and MSG Knickerbockers.
Stockholders of record on Oct. 20, 2026, are expected to receive one MSG Rangers share for every two MSG Sports shares held. When-issued trading is expected to begin Oct. 21 under MSGK WI and MSGR WI, with regular-way trading starting Oct. 27. James L. Dolan will serve as executive chairman and CEO of both MSG Rangers and MSG Knickerbockers.
