NNVC•NanoViricides said enrollment in Phase IIA of its NV-387 oral-gummy trial for Bundibugyo Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo began around Sept. 23, 2026. No clinical results were presented; efficacy readouts are expected in a later randomized Phase IIB.

Phase IIA aims to identify a tolerable dosing regimen in Ebola patients and support a go/no-go decision on Phase IIB. NanoViricides expects an optimal regimen to show signs of viral-load reduction and potential recovery, but did not claim a statistically proven benefit; the update cited 4,018 reported deaths as the outbreak expands.
