NanoViricides reported Oct. 20, 2026, that its antiviral candidate NV-387 showed no treatment-related adverse effects in a juvenile mouse study. The highest tested dose was 1,230 mg/kg three times daily, totaling 3,690 mg/kg per day over 12 days; no mortality or systemic toxicity occurred, and a maximum tolerated dose could not be determined because the highest dose was well tolerated. The study included a 14-day recovery period to assess persistent, reversible or delayed treatment effects. NV-387 oral gummies are in separate Phase II trials for Ebola and Mpox in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
