Navitas, Microchip team up on 800V-to-6V power reference design for AI data centers
NVTS•Navitas Semiconductor and Microchip partnered on an 800V-to-6V DC reference design for AI data center rack power systems, targeting up to 96% peak efficiency at full load and 2,100 W/in³ power density.
1. Reference design targets racks
The design targets 800V DC Open Compute Project rack architectures and combines Microchip digital power control and hardware security with Navitas GaNFast devices. A reference board, software and documentation are planned, with a showcase at Microchip’s OCP event on Oct. 12-15, 2026.
