Netskope Integrates Imprivata EAM with Zero Trust Engine for Passwordless PHI Protection

NTSKNTSK

Netskope integrated Imprivata Enterprise Access Management with its Zero Trust Engine to enable passwordless tap-and-go authentication and adaptive role-based policies that secure PHI on shared clinical workstations. The integration enforces granular HIPAA and HITECH compliance and adds real-time identity-aware threat protection and DLP across cloud and AI applications.

1. Integration Overview

Netskope and Imprivata have combined Imprivata Enterprise Access Management with the Netskope One platform’s Zero Trust Engine to deliver passwordless “tap-and-go” access for clinicians. This integration links high-fidelity user identity context with adaptive, risk-based policies that activate personalized security profiles the moment a clinician logs into any shared workstation.

2. Core Security Features

The solution applies role-based controls and persona-mapped data loss prevention in real time across cloud, web, AI, and private applications. Adaptive threat protection neutralizes ransomware and data exfiltration by continuously monitoring user behavior and enforcing dynamic policies tailored to each session.

3. Compliance and Risk Mitigation

Granular audit trails and continuous monitoring ensure adherence to HIPAA and HITECH requirements while safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI). By addressing the 89% rate of regulated data policy violations in healthcare, the integration also mitigates risks from Shadow AI and unauthorized data exposures.

4. Deployment and Industry Adoption

The SaaS-to-SaaS integration is now available to all Imprivata customers deploying the Netskope One Client. Netskope and Imprivata will showcase the joint solution at the HIMSS conference in Las Vegas, March 9-12, where attendees can see live demonstrations and deployment guidance.
