1. New Age Metals Regains Control of Manitoba Portfolio
New Age Metals and its subsidiary Lithium Canada Development entered into a termination agreement and royalty deed dated May 27, 2026 with Mineral Resources to end the August 29, 2022 farm-in and joint venture. This move restores 100% ownership of the Southeastern Manitoba lithium-cesium-tantalum tenements, positioning the company to accelerate exploration and development decisions.
2. Full Circle Lithium’s FCL-X Quells Landfill Fire
On May 18, 2026, Full Circle Lithium deployed its proprietary FCL-X fire suppression system at a construction and demolition landfill in Evans County, Georgia. The system fully extinguished the lithium-ion battery fire in under one hour, cleared hot spots within two hours and resolved all smoldering zones in three hours, demonstrating its effectiveness where conventional methods failed.
3. E3 Lithium Appoints Tom Gear as COO
E3 Lithium named energy executive Tom Gear as Chief Operating Officer effective June 8, 2026, following the retirement of Kevin Carroll. Gear brings nearly three decades of experience in petroleum refining, major projects and commodity trading, expected to strengthen operational execution and project development across the company’s lithium assets.
