Netflix and Shondaland announced that a limited television series centered on a younger Violet Bridgerton is in the works. The series will chronicle the romance of young Violet and Viscount Edmund Bridgerton.
2. Creative team and franchise
Shonda Rhimes and Nicholas Nardini, a producer on the “Queen Charlotte” spin-off, will serve as showrunners, writers and executive producers. The Regency-era franchise is based on Julia Quinn’s “Bridgerton” books, with each installment focusing on a different Bridgerton sibling’s romance.
3. Season five in production
Season 5 of “Bridgerton” is in production in London and will center on Francesca Bridgerton, played by Hannah Dodd, and Michaela Stirling, played by Masali Baduza.
