Analysts expect third-quarter revenue of $8.63 billion and adjusted EPS of $1.18, compared with $7.97 billion and $1.13 in the year-ago period. The company has met or beaten analyst expectations in each of its past eight reporting periods.
2. Recent developments
In July, NextEra beat Wall Street estimates for second-quarter profit, helped by rising electricity demand from data centers. In September, it said it secured a U.S. Department of Energy loan of up to $1.9 billion to support restarting its Duane Arnold Energy Center in Iowa.
