NextNav presented field results from its live 5G PNT Network at ION GNSS+ 2026, targeting GPS backup positioning.
Testing across Santa Clara County showed single-digit-meter positioning indoors and outdoors using 3GPP 5G Positioning Reference Signals.
Results indicated positioning within 1 meter of GNSS where satellite signals were available.
The presentation also referenced earlier ATIS WSTS tests showing about 20-nanosecond timing accuracy in indoor, outdoor, GPS-denied conditions.
