Nio Opens ES8 Preorders with 10,000-Yuan Discount and July 9 Launch
NIO•Nio opened preorders for its five-seat ES8, with a 5,000-yuan deposit counting as a 10,000-yuan discount and launching on July 9, with display models in stores. The ES8 delivered 11,475 units in May and 69,690 in five months, featuring a 102-kWh battery, 900-volt architecture and up to 655-km CLTC range.
1. Five-Seat ES8 Preorders Launch
Nio has opened preorders for a new five-seat variant of its ES8 SUV ahead of a July 9 launch. Customers placing a 5,000-yuan deposit between now and launch will receive a 10,000-yuan purchase discount, and display models are already available in Nio stores.
2. Strong Delivery Momentum
The ES8 maintained robust sales with 11,475 units delivered in May, marking the seventh consecutive month above 10,000 units. From January through May, ES8 deliveries totaled 69,690 units, representing nearly half of Nio's total vehicle deliveries over that period.
3. ES8 Model Specifications
The new five-seat ES8 retains the large SUV body and offers up to 3,084 liters of cargo space with the second row folded. It is built on a 900-volt high-voltage architecture, equipped with a 102-kWh battery pack and delivers a CLTC range of up to 655 kilometers.
4. Nio Day 2026 Bidding Returns
Nio has reinstated its user-led city bidding process for Nio Day 2026. Three candidate cities will be shortlisted on July 4, promoted in the Nio app from July 14 to 17, and users can vote for the final host city from July 17 to 18 using Nio Points.
