Nissan entered a joint development agreement with Honda to standardize core ECUs, in-vehicle OS, middleware, and vehicle control software for next-generation SDVs.
The jointly developed E/E architecture is targeted for rollout in both companies’ next-generation SDVs from fiscal 2029 onward.
The partnership aims to cut development costs, speed R&D cycles, and improve investment efficiency through common specifications and scale benefits.
