CEO Ivan Espinosa announced a strategy to reduce the product lineup from 56 to 45 models, consolidating roughly 80% of production volume into three core vehicle families built on shared platforms to lower costs and improve operational efficiency.

2. Sales Targets in US and China

The company has set a goal to exceed one million annual vehicle sales in both the US and China by 2030, levels last achieved in fiscal 2019 in the US and fiscal 2021 in China, supported by a refreshed product cycle.

3. Hybrid Segment Reentry

Nissan will reenter the hybrid segment with hybrid versions of the Rogue crossover and the revived Xterra SUV, leveraging a gasoline-engine-to-battery charging system for differentiation and aiming to capture demand trends that have recently benefited competitors.

4. China as Development and Export Hub

China will serve as a development center and export base, with plans to export the N7 sedan and Frontier Pro pickup to Latin America and Southeast Asia, while introducing a new compact car targeting 550,000 annual sales in Japan by fiscal 2031.
