Nokia tops STOXX on positive read-across from Ciena growth outlook
CIEN•Nokia rises on Ciena growth outlook
Shares in Finnish telecom equipment maker Nokia (NOKIA.HE) rise about 6.5%, with analysts pointing to optical networks peer Ciena's (CIEN.N) growth ambitions published late on Wednesday.
Ciena targets 2026-2029 sales CAGR of about 30%, which signals strong growth prospects for optical products, ABG Sundal Collier analyst Simon Granath says.
"This is clearly positive also for Nokia as the market demand seems huge and will continue for several years," OP Pohjola analyst Kimmo Stenvall says.
Nokia's shares, up about 68.6% year to date, sit on top of the pan-European STOXX 600 index (.STOXX).
