Nord Precious Metals Hits 9,510 g/t Silver Bonanza, Funds 5km Drill Phase
Nord Precious Metals reported hole CS-26-129W2 at Castle East grading 2,343.7 g/t silver over 1.85 metres with a 0.30-metre interval at 9,510 g/t plus 3,460 ppm cobalt. The company commenced a fully funded 5,000-metre drill phase within its 30,000-metre program targeting up to 29 discrete vein structures.
1. Bonanza-grade Drill Intercept
Nord Precious Metals reported assay results from hole CS-26-129W2 at its Castle East project in Ontario’s Cobalt-Gowganda district, returning 2,343.70 g/t silver over 1.85 metres, including a 0.30-metre interval grading 9,510 g/t silver with 3,460 ppm cobalt. This five-element vein assemblage showcases rare bonanza-grade silver enriched with critical minerals, highlighting the project’s high-grade potential.
2. Fully Funded Drilling Program
The company has initiated a fully funded 5,000-metre drill phase as part of a broader 30,000-metre exploration program, advancing testing across 29 modelled vein targets identified from 75,000 metres of historical drilling. Phase I completed approximately 3,500 metres, confirming structural models and setting the stage for continuous news flow.
3. Integrated Processing Capabilities and Historical Resources
Nord operates TTL Laboratories and employs an SGS-validated Re-2Ox hydrometallurgical process, enabling recovery of arsenic-rich ores into technical-grade cobalt sulphate. Castle East hosts a historical inferred resource of 7.56 million silver ounces at 8,582 g/t Ag and an indicated tailings resource of 2.96 million ounces, both pending verification under current standards.
