North Sea Crude-Grades weaken on lower offers
XLE•North Sea crude offers
- Forties: Exxon offered a Sept. 1-5 cargo at dated Brent plus $1.00 on a CIF basis, equating to dated Brent minus 86 cents on a FOB basis, Reuters calculations showed.
- Ekofisk: ConocoPhillips offered a Sept. 10-12 cargo at dated Brent plus $2.35, also lower than an offer on Wednesday.
Platts window activity
LONDON, Aug 20 (Reuters) - U.S. WTI Midland crude weakened in the Platts window on Thursday, while North Sea Forties and Ekofisk were offered below previously indicated levels.
No cargoes traded, a market source said.
WTI Midland offers and bids
- WTI Midland: ExxonMobil offered a Sept. 1-5 cargo at dated Brent plus $1.40 CIF Rotterdam.
- WTI Midland: Totsa bid for a Sept. 20-24 cargo at dated Brent plus $2.45 CIF Rotterdam.
- The average of the two equated to dated Brent plus 33 cents on a FOB basis, Reuters calculations showed.
