Northern Trust Asset Management names Amy Johnston head of Global Institutional Client Group

Northern Trust appointed Amy Johnston as head of its Global Institutional Client Group at Northern Trust Asset Management.

Johnston will lead global institutional distribution and sales enablement, drive organic growth, and advance product innovation, based in Chicago. She reports to Northern Trust Asset Management President Michael Hunstad.

Johnston previously spent 14 years at State Street Investment Management, most recently as head of distribution strategy for the Americas institutional client group. Her earlier roles included distribution posts at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Perennial Investment Partners, and Merrill Lynch.
