NovaBridge reports 79% response rate at selected givastomig dose in Phase 1b trial
NBP•NovaBridge Biosciences reported a 79% response rate at the selected givastomig dose in a Phase 1b trial. Updated results supported selecting 8 mg/kg for registrational development, and the company said it had FDA alignment on a global Phase 3 protocol.
1. Phase 1b results
NovaBridge Biosciences presented updated Phase 1b results for givastomig at ESMO 2026. Givastomig combined with nivolumab and chemotherapy showed durable clinical benefit in first-line metastatic gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma, including tumors with low CLDN18.2 expression.
2. Dose and development
The company selected an 8 mg/kg dose for registrational development based on efficacy, safety and long-term follow-up findings. It reported manageable safety, with no life-threatening or fatal treatment-related adverse events attributed to givastomig, and said it had FDA alignment on a global Phase 3 study protocol; givastomig also holds orphan drug and fast-track designations.
