Nuvve Launches 50MW/75MWh BESS in Sweden as Part of 1GW Pipeline

NVVENVVE

Nuvve partners with OMNIA Global to develop over 1 GW of battery storage financed over two years, launching a 50 MW/75 MWh CE-approved BESS in Sweden expected to start operations in Q2 2026. The pipeline targets €240,000–€300,000 per MW-year in revenue, boosting Nuvve’s European footprint.

1. Partnership Scope

Nuvve has partnered with OMNIA Global to jointly develop and finance an energy storage pipeline exceeding 1 GW over 24 months, leveraging OMNIA’s capital to accelerate project deployment and financing.

2. First Swedish BESS Project

The inaugural project is a 50 MW/75 MWh CE-approved BESS in Sweden, slated to commence operations in Q2 2026, marking Nuvve’s first major asset in one of Europe’s top energy storage markets.

3. Revenue Projections

Recent market conditions in target regions support potential revenues of €240,000–€300,000 per MW per year (~$260,000–$325,000 per MW-year), with the Sweden facility expected to generate incremental revenues upon commissioning.

4. Strategic Expansion and Rights

Under the agreement, Nuvve will own and manage the facilities, provide market access services, and holds exclusive development rights plus right of first refusal on future pipeline deployments, strengthening its long-term European presence.
