The catheter’s segmented reinforcement structure enables bedside customization of catheter length while maintaining kink resistance and consistent flow, addressing clinician needs across diverse patient anatomies and potentially reducing therapy interruptions.

Once issued, the patent will complement Nuwellis’ Aquadex SmartFlow® system and bolster the company’s strategy to expand ultrafiltration therapy access in both hospital and outpatient settings, potentially driving new revenue streams and market penetration.
