Nvidia B300 Server Prices in China Soar to 7 Million Yuan After U.S. Curbs
Nvidia’s B300 server prices in China have surged to about 7 million yuan each, up from roughly 4 million yuan late last year, driven by U.S. export curbs and tighter anti-smuggling enforcement. In the United States, the B300 base price rose to $550,000 from $500,000 since late last year.
1. Price Surge in China
Since early this year, Nvidia’s flagship B300 server price in China has climbed from about 4 million yuan to roughly 7 million yuan each, nearly doubling as grey-market supply channels dried up under stricter anti-smuggling enforcement.
2. Impact of U.S. Export Restrictions
U.S. export restrictions on advanced chips have elevated the B300 base price in the United States to $550,000 from $500,000 late last year, creating a scarcity premium in overseas markets.
3. Chinese Demand and Rental Market
Robust AI computing demand from major Chinese tech companies, wary of holding restricted hardware on their books, has spurred a rental market charging as much as 190,000 yuan per month for B300 servers on one-year contracts.
