Nvidia Commits $2 Billion to Nebius for 5 GW AI Cloud Buildout

Nvidia is investing $2 bn in Amsterdam-based Nebius Group to co-develop next-generation hyperscale AI cloud infrastructure, including design, construction and management of AI factories tailored for AI-native firms and large enterprises.

2. Technology Integration

Under the deal, Nebius will integrate Nvidia’s Rubin AI platform, Vera central processors and BlueField storage systems, and gain early hardware samples, design materials, system software support and technical oversight for AI factory architecture.

3. Capacity and Growth Targets

Nebius plans to deploy over 5 GW of AI compute capacity globally by 2030, building multiple gigawatt-scale data centers in the U.S. and expanding operations in the Asia-Pacific region following local approvals for its first 1.2 GW AI factory campus.

4. Financial Backdrop

The company reported 479% revenue growth in 2025, holds a contract backlog exceeding $20 bn, maintains $3.7 bn in cash reserves, and projects an annualized revenue run rate of $7 bn to $9 bn by end-2026.
