Nvidia Delays Kyber NVL144 AI Rack to 2028, Supplier Shares Slide
NVDA•Nvidia pushed back its Kyber NVL144 AI rack launch to 2028, delaying planned high-density data center deployments by two years. The postponement sent shares of major rack and component suppliers sliding on concerns over deferred orders and revenue shortfalls.
1. Delay Announcement
Nvidia has confirmed that its Kyber NVL144 AI server rack, originally expected in 2026, will now debut in 2028 after encountering technical development and design challenges. The NVL144 rack is designed to integrate next-generation GPUs, custom networking and cooling to support ultra-high-density AI workloads in enterprise data centers.
2. Supplier Stock Reaction
Following the announcement, shares of leading rack assemblers and component manufacturers declined sharply, reflecting investor concern over delayed hardware orders and revenue shifts. Analysts caution that the two-year deferral could create margin pressure across Nvidia’s supply chain and defer contract renewals through 2027.
