Nvidia gains after boosting buyback by $150 billion
NVDA•Nvidia shares rose 1.2% premarket after the company added $150 billion to its share repurchase authorization, bringing the remaining amount to $235 billion. Nvidia expects to execute the program through fiscal 2028.
1. Buyback authorization expanded
Nvidia said it would repurchase an additional $150 billion in shares under its existing program, calling it the largest increase in share repurchase authorization on record. CEO Jensen Huang said the company’s growth is being driven by a “once-in-a-generation platform shift to AI and accelerated computing.”
