Nvidia Gains Momentum as Foxconn Plans 30% Capex Rise and New AI Partners

1. Foxconn Growth and Capex Plans
Foxconn, Nvidia’s largest server assembler, reported a 19% year-over-year profit increase in Q1 and intends to raise capital expenditures by 30% from T$174 billion. The company cited global cloud AI investment exceeding $700 billion this year and projecting $1 trillion next year as the key driver of its expansion.
2. Infineon Joins MGX AI Ecosystem
Infineon has joined Nvidia’s MGX AI ecosystem to deliver 800 VDC power management solutions leveraging silicon, silicon carbide and gallium nitride technologies. This collaboration aims to enhance power conversion efficiency and density for next-generation AI server racks.
3. Samsung’s HBM4E Memory Shipments
Samsung began shipping samples of its 12-layer HBM4E high-bandwidth memory, claiming over 20% speed gains versus prior generations. Using its latest 1c DRAM process and 4 nm logic base die, Samsung is supplying Nvidia and other AI data center clients to meet surging memory demand.
