Nvidia Partners on 30MW+40MW India AI Data Centres, OpenAI Fundraising Boost, Meta Grace Rollout
Nvidia shares dipped on February 19 during profit-taking in AI stocks, but OpenAI’s fresh fundraising could underpin future GPU demand. The company also partnered with Larsen & Toubro to build 30MW and 40MW AI data centres in India and secured a large-scale Grace CPU deployment at Meta.
1. Stock Movements and OpenAI Fundraising
Nvidia shares fell on February 19 during profit-taking in AI stocks, although OpenAI’s planned fundraising for expanded compute infrastructure could sustain long-term demand for Nvidia GPUs.
2. L&T Partnership Builds 70MW India AI Data Centre
Nvidia partnered with Larsen & Toubro to develop India’s largest AI facility, scaling GPU clusters to 30MW at Chennai and 40MW at a new Mumbai site. The venture combines local engineering with Nvidia’s full-stack AI hardware and software to provide sovereign, secure compute capacity.
3. Meta Rolls Out Grace CPUs at Hyperscale
Meta is deploying Nvidia’s Grace processors in a large-scale, CPU-only rollout, marking one of the first hyperscale AI infrastructure implementations. By integrating CPUs, GPUs and networking, Nvidia aims to challenge Intel’s dominance in data centre compute.
