Nvidia to Deploy 170,000 GPUs via Firmus Deal, Earning Cloud Revenue Share

Nvidia and Australian AI infrastructure provider Firmus Technologies have entered a strategic agreement under which Firmus will acquire Nvidia hardware and offer Nvidia-powered cloud services. Nvidia will generate product sales revenue and earn a percentage of cloud-service income from Firmus’s customer base of emerging and “AI Native” firms.
2. GPU Deployment Schedule
The deal covers delivery of 170,000 Nvidia GPUs starting in the first quarter of 2027 and continuing through early 2028. All units will be housed in a new data center facility in Batam, Indonesia, expanding Nvidia’s footprint in the Asia-Pacific region.
