Occidental CEO Vicki Hollub to retire June 1; COO Richard Jackson tapped as successor

Vicki Hollub will retire as President and CEO of Occidental effective June 1, 2026, after a decade of leadership and 40+ years at the company. Chief Operating Officer Richard Jackson, who joined Occidental in 2003 and led U.S. Onshore Oil and Gas operations, will succeed Hollub and join the board.

Occidental’s Board has named Chief Operating Officer Richard Jackson as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2026, following Vicki Hollub’s retirement. Jackson will also join the Board of Directors on that date, while Hollub will continue to serve as a director to ensure leadership continuity.

2. Richard Jackson’s Experience

Jackson began his Occidental career in 2003 in the Middle East and has held key positions including President of U.S. Onshore Oil and Gas, President of Low Carbon Integrated Technologies, General Manager of the Permian Delaware Basin and Enhanced Oil Recovery, and Vice President roles in Investor Relations and Drilling Americas.

As COO, Jackson focused on resource improvement, cost efficiency, and innovative technology to enhance well performance and organic development.
