Ocean Power Technologies was selected as one of six potential awardees on a $40 million U.S. Navy NAVOCEANO IDIQ contract for autonomous ocean mapping.
- Work covers high-resolution ocean-floor mapping using long-endurance unmanned surface vehicles across the Indian and Pacific Ocean basins.
- The two-year ordering period is expected to run from August 2026 through July 2028.
- Task orders will be competed among contract holders; the $40 million figure is the total contract ceiling across all awardees.
