Norwegian Cruise Line’s Oceania Cruises floated out Oceania Sonata at Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard, moving the vessel from dry dock to fitting-out.
The ship is scheduled to debut in August 2027; it is the first of five planned Sonata Class vessels, with the next delivery targeted for 2029.
Oceania Sonata is about 86,000 gross tons, nearly 30% larger than Oceania Allura, with 695 rooms and suites.
Its inaugural season runs from August 2027 to April 2028, covering Europe, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Mexico, Central America, and South America.
